Gary Hogman, BSc (Hons)., MSc., MBPsS..
Gary Hogman is an Associate of the Management Advisory Service, a member of the British Psychological Society (MBpsych) and has just completed an MSc in Occupational Psychology at Birkbeck College, University of London.
He has 20 years experience working in mental health in the areas of research, policy, communications and campaigns and has been an associate of MAS for three years delivering workshops on resilience.
Gary was the national programme lead for the Department of Health’s mental health awareness campaign ‘Shift’ which tackled the stigma and discrimination that surrounds mental illness, with a focus on employers. Gary worked with Dame Carol Black and her team on the Government’s health and employment review of which the Shift ‘Line Manager’s Resource’ and ‘Shift Employment Films’ constituted a key part of the Government’s response.
In his work with ‘Shift’ Gary worked with a wide variety of individuals and organisations including Government departments, national charities, professional bodies (sport, health and social care), research institutions, media organisations and national businesses.
Gary has also read widely in the areas of the psychology of creativity and innovation, and has a keen interest in digital communications.
